Dear Parents,
Just a reminder that the 2014 Annual Seido Children’s Tournament is coming up on Saturday, June 14th, at 2pm sharp* and will again be held at the McBurney YMCA, 125 W. 14th Street, NY, NY (between 6th & 7th Ave).
* Please note: Check-in time for all competitors is from 1pm – 1:45pm to ensure we get everyone to their assigned rings and ready to start the events by 2pm sharp.
The Annual Tournament is a wonderful opportunity for your children to meet the challenge and showcase what they have learned by performing their favorite kata and/or participating in kumite or technique shiai. It’s a great learning experience for them to compete within a very supportive atmosphere and so rewarding for them to see how proud their parents, family, instructors and friends are of their achievement. All competitors will also receive a trophy to commemorate their day.
The deadline for submitting applications and payment to Honbu/Honzan is Sat., May 31st. Click HERE to download the application (as an editable pdf). Any applications received after that date will incur a $10 penalty fee. No applications will be accepted after June 7th. There will be NO on-site registration.
NOTE: All competitors who register for tournament by May 31st will receive a complimentary tournament t-shirt, so please get your applications in early/on time. There’s a box on the form to request t-shirt size.
If you have any questions about the tournament, please feel free speak with your child’s instructor who would be more than happy to answer them for you.
